The Women’s soccer team won their first conference game after defeating L.A Harbor by a score of 2-1 last Friday at Weingart Stadium.

The Huskies achieved their first victory after being defeated at Long Beach by a score of 3-1 in their first conference match. The Huskies had control of the ball for most of the match.

After being up 2-0,with goals delivered by Jessica Guzman and Mariah Palmer the team felt confident with the score but allowed the opposing team to score a late goal.

Head Coach Tessa Troglia shared her thoughts on the game, “We didn’t start conference as we’d hoped. The girls played really well and controlled the game, we missed several shots but we got the win and that’s what’s most important.”

Their next home game will be next Friday against Pasadena City College.
