The Women’s Center opened its doors again last Monday at East Los Angeles College after a hiatus of more than 20 years.

Marylin Ladd, a professor at ELAC and a member of the Violence-Intervention Team, said that the Women’s Center at ELAC closed in the 80s and has not reopened since.

She said that with the current moves on campus, due to new buildings, she took advantage of the timing and swooped up the new room.
