Today’s East Los Angeles College baseball team’s road game against the College of the Canyons Cougars was postponed due to the heavy rain Friday afternoon.

“It rained bad late yesterday, so we’ll play tomorrow. The field is not ready,” Head Coach James Hines said.

The game was postponed for tomorrow, Sunday, Feb. 9, at noon at College of the Canyons.

Starting for the Huskies will be sophomore Sergio Luna (0-1), who took the season opening loss against Riverside City College, 3-1.

Luna will face an offense that has scored a total of 20 runs in their first five games of the season. The Cougars have collected a total 37 hits including six doubles, one triple, and two home runs.

The Huskies head into tomorrow’s game with a record below .500, 1-2, as they continue non-conference play.
