The East Los Angeles College women’s badminton team continues their streak over South Coast Conference rival Pasadena City College winning 16-5 on April 23.

Pasadena won the SCC title for five consecutive years, from 2009 to 2013, sharing the 2013 title with ELAC.

This year, ELAC won the title beating Pasadena four times.

“The girls are doing better…(having) lost to PCC in previous (years),” ELAC Head Coach Quio Nguy said.

“We did go working on endurance and quickness in order to continue on.”

ELAC, 12-0 overall, will host San Diego City College in the SoCal Regional Final April 30 at 3 p.m.
