Dirt Dog’s menu has all of your favorite street foods in one place. Their most famous item is their Dirt Dogs, hence the name.
Dirt Dogs are wrapped in bacon and come in different styles of the classic hot dog. Some styles include The House Dog, which includes thousand island dressing and green chile spread; The Patty Melt Dog which has melted cheddar fries and chipotle aioli spread; The Brown Dog which has teriyaki sauce and sesame sweet aioli.
Another famous dish there is their dirty corn. The dirty corn is absolutely to die for. It includes Mexican cream, cotija cheese, chili powder, cilantro and bacon bits.
They even have dirty esquite which is not as messy as the dirty corn, since the corn is in a cup.
If you’re looking for some delicious sides, Dirt Dog has you covered.
They also offer garlic fries, dirty chili fries with housemade all-beef chili and melted bacon cheddar, filthy fries with guacamole, chipotle aioli, cheddar, cotija and sea salt and pepper fries.
To follow all that dirty food, they also offer delicious desserts.
They have churros, deep fried oreos, deep fried twinkies, the horchata ice cream, which has vanilla bean ice cream, homemade horchata syrup, rice krispies and almonds.
Not only is the food excellent, but the service is as well. The employees are extremely accommodating and attentive.
They can bring out a special batch for those allergic to certain food items. This way, everyone will feel included.
Ultimately, Dirt Dog definitely lives up to the hype. It’s absolutely delicious and expertly brings the street food we all know and love in our neighborhoods and crafts them into a new, yet familiar, taste.
Dirt Dog is located on 2528 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles. Be prepared for a line when visiting since it is quite popular and small. Definitely grab napkins too, because it does get quite dirty.
