Hydro Flasks come in 7 different sizes ranging from 12 to 64 ounces. The most common size among ELAC students has to be the 18 oz due to how easy and compatible it is to be carried around. These popular water bottles are known to keep drinks at their desired temperature for hours, along with being 100% leak proof. Many students love this feature because they can just toss it in their bag. Hydro Flasks cost anywhere from $30 to $60. Many students carry around the sleek and vibrant water bottle for style and for its popularity among social media apps such as VSCO and TikTok. “I had asked for a hydro flask for my birthday one year because I kept on seeing it on Instagram and I just really liked the aesthetic of it” said ELAC student Erica Lopez. Although style and popularity play a big factor to why these water bottles get so much attention, many students carry them around for the benefit of their health. Most students fill up their Hydro Flask with plain water before they come to school and finish it before they leave campus. “I like to stay hydrated throughout the day. Having a Hydro Flask encourages me to drink more water,” said ELAC student Elizabeth Martinez. “My Hydro Flasks keeps my water cold all day which makes me want to keep on drinking water and puts me in a better mood all day,” Martinez said. Other than style and health benefits Hydro Flasks are known for being Eco friendly. With all of the world’s natural events that are occurring today this is major. Unlike regular plastic water bottles that harm the environment, Hydro Flasks are made of steel. Many students are aware of the natural disasters and are trying to do their part when it comes to saving the environment. Although this is only a step towards contributing to the environment, reducing everyday plastic use such as water bottles and replacing it with a Hydro Flask, or a bottle similar, can lead up to something even bigger. Whether it’s sporting a water bottle around campus for its sleek style or for its benefits towards the Earth Hydro Flasks are popular among ELAC students and don’t seem to be fading anytime soon.
