Governor Gavin Newsom released the revised budget proposal on Thursday that would increase the amount of funding going into education.
The Hire-A-Husky Job Fair on Wednesday offered opportunities for students to find employment and internships while simultaneously pursuing their education. The fair took place at East Los Angeles College’s South Gate campus.
Legacy L.A., a youth organization, now offers East Los Angeles College students the College Persistence Program.
They are working on expanding their programming and support center for youth.
The improved Weekend College Experience returns Fall 2019.
The WCE is an academic program that will provide students with a variety of newly offered weekend courses.
