The women’s basketball team beat Ventura College on the last shot of the game on Thursday.
Delilah Kimble-Gray scored the game-winner that advanced the Huskies to the next round of the playoffs.
Multiple players got double digits in points.
East Los Angeles College faculty and students gathered together at the front of the school to celebrate the athletes from the spring and fall season on Thursday.
It’s been a tough situation for East Los Angeles College Head Coach Bruce Turner with the pandemic still ongoing.
“[COVID-19] has affected recruiting and our numbers,” Turner said.
The team currently has 14 players on the roster. There are nine sophomores and five freshmen on the team. Three players are still pending to join the team.
