ELAC student in army reserves shares her story

Josselin Badilla is an East Los Angeles College student who joined the U.S. Army reserves officially on Feb. 2.
Since she was a child, she always wanted to join the army.
She was in the Junior Reserve Officer Corp in high school and Reserve Officer Corp at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

New COVID guidelines cause confusion on mask mandate

The Center for Disease Control published new guidelines last tuesday for people who are fully vaccinated. These guidelines state that people who are fully vaccinated can participate in “normal” activities after two weeks, if they show no symptoms after getting the second dose.

LACCD enrollment drops during pandemic

Enrollment is down across all nine Los Angeles Community College District schools. With the exception of Los Angeles City College, all LACCD colleges are experiencing a 10% decrease, at least, in enrollment when comparing Fall 2020 to Fall 2019.
