ELAC Women and Men’s Support Center Open House
Monterey Park Campus. Will take place on April 24 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in G8 – 111. Join the Women and Men’s Support Center, where any student may receive education and referrals for domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. Refreshments sponsored by ASU. Women’s and Men’s Support Center Hours: Mondays 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., Tuesdays 1 – 5 p.m., Wednesdays 1 – 5 p.m., Thursdays 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Denim Day and Campus and Community Resource Fair
Monterey Park Campus. This will take place on April 25 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the E7 walkway. In 1998, an Italian Supreme Court decision overturned a rape conviction because the victim wore jeans. Wearing jeans became an international symbol of protest against erroneous and destructive attitudes about sexual assault.
Third Annual Take Back the Night
Monterey Park Campus. This will take place April 26 Survivor Speakout from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Edison Center for Performing Arts foyer, G8. Candleligh March will be from 7:30 – 8 p.m. Refreshments will be sponsored by ASU.
Free Rapid HIV Testing sponsored by Alta Med (results in 20 minutes)
Monterey Park Campus. Mobile testing unit will be by the D7 Swim Stadium tomorrow from 3 – 7 p.m.; and Monday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
South Gate Campus: The Mobile testing unit will be in the parking lot on April 24 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and April 25 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
