Armando’s Mexican Restaurant is a great place to eat Mexican cuisine. It is traditional Mexican food made at its finest.

The restaurant holds a maximum capacity of about 35 to 40 people. There are two entrances designated on the side and front of the restaurant.

On weekends they have homemade tortillas and pozole. Their breakfast deals are amazing. For only $5 a meal includes your choices of bacon, sausage, or ham, eggs, beans and cheese, and rice is provided.

It is an ideal place to go if you are a fan of breakfast and sleeping in. They serve breakfast in the after noon.  Every day they make their food fresh.

Before the meal, chips and mild salsa are brought to the table by one of the waitresses. If seafood is your preference, Armando’s is definitely a place to visit.

Their meats are always cooked tender so every bite is enjoyed. The eggs are made whatever style asked for. The actual breakfast is delicious.

The bacon and eggs is a dish to go for. The strips are always made to  perfection so when you take a bite it does not have a hard crunch. It is not soggy or undercooked either.

The eggs were tasty but a good suggestion would be to stay away from the sunny side up because they usually make too much of a mess.

The ceviche is tasty and has a zesty kick to it. When it is mixed with tostadas, the combination is tough to find elsewhere. The ceviche comes in good portion  size and their shrimp cocktail will leave you wanting more.

If in need of an extra kick, red and  green salsa can be add for a spicy taste.

Armando’s is also a place to have a few drinks if you are of age. They have $9 pitchers of beer and a good selection of Mexican beer. They have the football games showing during the fall and also have happy hour.

Armando’s Mexican Restaurant is a great place to go eat if you need your fix of Mexican food. The food is always great and the service is even better.

One thing that might take away from all the positives of this restaurant is that it gets crowded because of its popularity. This makes the grade for Armando’s an overall 4 out of 5 stars.

Armando’s Mexican Restaurant is a quaint little place located at 704 E. Garvey Avenue in Monterey Park.  They do phone in orders for anybody on the go. Their hours are Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
