The 18-track full length album is the third of this young artists catalogue and has been one of his best selling since its release on April second. “Wolf,” has sat atop Billboard’s Top Rap Albums but has recently dropped to number four after spending two consecutive weeks at number one.

Along with current and past Odd Future members, “Wolf,” features the likes of Erykah Badu, Pharrell, Coco O and Lee Spielman. Familiar faces to Odd Future and their Adult Swim show Loiter Squad lend their vocals as Frank Ocean, Earl Sweatshirt, Domo Genesis, Mike G, Hodgey Beats, Left Brain, Taco, Jasper, L-Boy, Lucas, Na’kel also participated on this album.

Tyler’s song, “Answer,” expresses an array of emotions smoothly layered over a soothing rock influenced instrumental that lies as the proper canvas for this song’s tone.

“Lone,” is another Tyler produced track that hit the right spots as he goes from grim nostalgia to an angry young male on a jazzy venture.

“Awkward,” is an intimate track where Tyler finds himself opening up about his insecurities with women.

The recipient of Boulder, Colorado’s key to the city gives a glimpse of his personal life on the song, “Cowboy,” when saying, “.. I’m as lonely as crackers that supermodels eat..”

Frank Ocean, Erykah Badu, Pharrell and Coco O lend their vocal talents to involve a soothing tone which is a change-of-pace from the vulgarity of the other tracks.

While on the other end of that is Lee Spielman, the lead singer of Sacramento hardcore punk band Trash Talk, who’s piercing voice is featured on, “Trashwang.”

For his album, “Wolf,” Tyler paired a slew of controversial lyrics with solid respectable hip-hop instrumentals for his most successful album to date.
