Comedian expected to bring laughter to Elans

Comedian Gabriel Iglesias is coming to the G3 auditorium on Nov. 15 to perform his touring “Fluffy Breaks Even” show.

Iglesias is headlining the show, with other comedians serving as the opening performances. The event is being coordinated by the Athletic Trainer Diane Stankevitz.

“It will basically be the same thing that they did at the LA County Fair,” Stankevitz said.

The show is a private college event to ensure that ELAC students have a fair chance to purchase tickets. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for early arrivals, and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.

“Whoever is buying the tickets has to be involved with the campus in some way, whether it be students or faculty members,” Stankevitz said.

Tickets can be purchased online or from event coordinator Diane Stankevitz. Ticket prices will range from $20-$80, depending on where people want to sit.

“He has even tweeted the event, so I’m really excited,” Stankevitz said

If the Iglesias show is a success, Stankevitz will try to bring George Lopez to campus next.

“I don’t know if it’s going to come to fruition, but I’m going to use Iglesias as leverage, no pun intended,” Stankevitz said.

The event will be assigned seating, and the seats will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tickets are still available, visit Stankovitz in B5-114 on Thursdays from 12:30-9 p.m.
