Teriyaki Sushi House is a sushi restaurant in the city of South Gate, that offers a wide variety of delicious traditional, yet modern sushi and teriyaki dishes. One of, if not my favorite sushi spot in the city of South Gate. Teriyaki Sushi House is a great spot for delicious, quick, and affordable sushi.
Located at 9807 Long Beach Blvd, Teriyaki Sushi House is a great place for lunch on the go or a nice dine-in meal. The restaurant holds a whopping 4 out of 5 stars on Yelp and over seventy positive reviews.
All combination plates come with a side of salad, macaroni salad, and miso soup. All sushi orders come with a side of ginger and wasabi. The restaurant offers self-service fountain drinks and also has a wide selection of canned and bottled drinks.
Some of the restaurant’s most popular dishes include the chicken teriyaki, orange chicken plate, and the beef teriyaki. And if you’re really hungry, there is an order of chicken or beef teriyaki with your choice of any sushi roll. A combination dish consisting of teriyaki chicken or beef, a sushi roll, along with steamed rice, salad, macaroni salad and a miso soup goes for $13.49, pretty cheap for a meal.
Other dishes include fried shrimp and unique sushi rolls with a variety of toppings. A very popular sushi roll is the Dragon Roll which consists of crab, cucumber, and avocado topped with fresh water eel and even more a avocado. Another great roll, and one of my personal favorites is the Crunch Roll which consists of shrimp tempura, crab, cucumber, and avocado topped with a ‘crunchy’ topping. The Crunch Roll has a perfect combination of crunch and smooth consistency. The fresh cucumber compliments the shrimp and gives it a fresh feel. The sushi is made to order with the freshest ingredients to ensure the best quality. The sticky white rice is steamed to perfection to give the rolls a excellent texture. Most of the sushi rolls, including the Classic California Roll, range anywhere from $5 to $15.
Teriyaki Sushi House is open from 10 a.m to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and closed Sundays.
