“Cyberpunk 2077” is a futuristic action-packed role-playing game published and developed by CD Projekt Red, that follows the story of the main protagonist V. It is a phenomenal game with similarities to other popular games like “Watch Dogs 2” and “Grand Theft Auto 5.” It has been a long-anticipated game since it was announced in 2012. It is available on PC and consoles like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There is also an updated version of “Cyberpunk 2077” available on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X.
In 2021 there will be another update for the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game so it can be fully utilized. V is a cyber-enhanced mercenary outlaw that was raised in Night city. Night City is a city full of greed, power, money, envy and lust. V must find a way to survive and earn street cred in Night City in order to earn respect from opposite gangs. Gangs are willing to pay large sums of money in order to complete difficult tasks, this is the only way V can earn their respect and money.
Every rival gang in the city along with corporate leaders, hustlers and outsiders are in search of a special chip. At the start of the game, V has three origin routes: Nomad, Street Kid or Corporate. Nomads are a rebellious group that lives out in the desert near Night City. They oppose rules and like to cause chaos. Street Kids are well respected in urban areas and have connections to gangs. Corporate are rich and powerful people that have connections with other rich influential people. Depending on which origin you choose it will greatly impact the story.
Throughout the game, V will be working with opposing origin characters and depending on which one gamers choose it will make the mission go smoothly and easy or make it difficult. If gamers choose the Nomad origin, working with Corporate people will be difficult because Nomads are anti-authority while Corporate are clean-cut and precise. If players choose the Corporate origin and have to work with Street Kids you will stand out because you won’t understand their lingo or the ins and outs of the streets.
No matter what origin gamers choose gamers will still earn street cred and depending on the players play style it can boost quickly. Players can be relentless and ruthless with their killings or they can take the stealthy approach and hide in the shadows while getting their work done. Depending on what approach players take they will gain experience with either playstyle and as the game progresses, players will unlock new attributes.
The story can vastly change due to the wide selection of in-game responses and actions. One simple decision can change the outcome and finale of the game. For example, if gamers choose to let a rival live, it can affect the final boss fight. Working with a random person on the street can open up the opportunity of getting in contact with a gang leader or they can set players up. Every single decision gamers make in-game will have an effect on the story finale.
The combat options are also vast. Players can be melee fighters by getting into fistfights but they can also use swords and knives. Gamers can throw smoke and bomb grenades as well as pistols, shotguns and submachine guns. Tech guns work in the same way normal guns do but instead of using bullets players must charge them, and they inflict more damage than normal guns.
“Cyberpunk 2077” offers a wide variety of customization options for V. Gamers can customize his Cyberware, scars, tattoos, gender and even hair. It even allows you to customize V’s fingernails as well as their length. The opportunities to make a unique version of V are endless. With the money players earn completing jobs they can enhance V’s weapons and body to make the ultimate version of V. Players can use up their skill points and choose to be a gunslinger with every gun and body modification at your disposal or choose to be a tech-savvy hacker and hack all surrounding technology. Or players can choose to be balanced at both and utilize any ability when necessary. The options are endless in Night City and V can be modified into any version players choose as every quest you complete will impact the story uniquely.
