Men’s basketball suffers Final Four exit against Fullerton

The Men’s basketball team won against Cerritos College 59-55. The Huskies continue their streak to 17 wins on the season including this playoff win. The Huskies defense were able to hold off Cerritos in the final seconds of the game that secured the win. The Huskies led the entire second half of the game after going into the half 29-23.
The women’s basketball team beat Ventura College on the last shot of the game on Thursday.
Delilah Kimble-Gray scored the game-winner that advanced the Huskies to the next round of the playoffs.
Multiple players got double digits in points.
The Husky Women’s basketball team win their third straight game against Pasadena City College winning 69-59.
The Husky men’s basketball team won their 14th game in a row, beating Pasadena City College 109-47. The Huskies are now 22-4 on the season.
It’s been a tough situation for East Los Angeles College Head Coach Bruce Turner with the pandemic still ongoing.
“[COVID-19] has affected recruiting and our numbers,” Turner said.
The team currently has 14 players on the roster. There are nine sophomores and five freshmen on the team. Three players are still pending to join the team.
Delilah Kimble Gray played at the East Los Angeles College men’s gym for a high school all-star game. She was then scouted by Assistant Coach Wilbert Knight.
