pportunities have been flying out the window for some huskies since they haven’t been checking school emails for grants and available resources. Vice President of Student Services, Julie Benavides said that students have not been checking their school emails and awards are going unclaimed.

Social media helps some small businesses

While small businesses have been struggling to keep open because of COVID-19, the younger generation has turned to social media to help their personal business thrive. Stephanie Meza, a student at ELAC, did just that.
Meza was laid off in March from her job. She invested $200 in a stencil maker and began a business of custom made decorative tumbler cups. She primarily uses instagram to promote her work.

Netlix’s ‘Crown’ puts end to royal rumors

“The Crown” is built to defy classification. However, the new season feels even fresher than the previous one due to the so-awaited appearance of Emma Corrin starring as Princess Diana and her marriage with Josh O’Connor starring as Prince Charles, one of the most disastrous royal marriages in history. Season four of “The Crown” was released on Nov. 15 on Netflix.

ELAC learns about president selection process

By July 2020, East Los Angeles College will have a new president or one will be close to being chosen by a selection committee that’s yet to be established. Francisco C. Rodriguez, Los Angeles Community College District chancellor, hosted a town hall meeting on Monday to inform the ELAC community on the selection process.
