The Los Angeles based artist River Garza discussed the life and cultural experiences that influence his art at art lecture on zoom.
He stressed the importance of community, self-awareness and knowing the business side of being a working creator.
It’s been a tough situation for East Los Angeles College Head Coach Bruce Turner with the pandemic still ongoing.
“[COVID-19] has affected recruiting and our numbers,” Turner said.
The team currently has 14 players on the roster. There are nine sophomores and five freshmen on the team. Three players are still pending to join the team.
The East Los Angeles College Huskies upset the College of the Canyons Cougars 10-7. The Cougars were undefeated coming into the game and are now 7-1 on the season
The Huskies searched for a fourth win but lost against the Allan Hancock College Bulldogs 31-23. The Huskies are now 3-3 for the season
The East Los Angeles College football team is currently ranked 23rd in the California Community College Sports Information Association rankings. The ELAC Huskies have a record of two wins and two losses in the season.
